About this school

Dr. B. C Majhi, an eminent physician and Ex-President of Indian Medical Association, Bankura district, not only established and runs at Kesra a charitable dispensary, dedicated to the cause of health for the poor, for long thirty two years but dreamt of establishing in that backward area a model English Medium School after Shantiniketan to cater quality education, in tune with the go of the day, to meet the growing needs of the new generation. With this object in view and to materialise his dream he laid the foundation of an English Medium School at the west part of Bankuta town, in the beginning of this century, known as West Point School.
