What EWS Admission means
EWS (Economically Weaker Section) admission refers to the reserved entry-level seats that private unaided schools must offer to children from low-income families. Under Section 12(1)(c) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, private unaided schools reserve 25% of entry-level seats for EWS and disadvantaged-group children, with the state government reimbursing fees as per its rules.
