St. Fidelis College, Aliganj, Lucknow a Christian Catholic minority institution vide cert. No. 10404 of August 3, 2006 established in 1977 under the Patronage of St. Fidelis, managed and administered by a religious, charitable society engaged in educational and social work duly registered under the Registration of Societies Act No. XXI of 1860. It is an unaided, co-educational institution where boys and girls grow up together in a healthy atmosphere of equality and mutual respect. The medium of instruction from Nursery to Std. XII is English. Hindi is a compulsory subject. The order of Capuchin Friars Minor Society is founded by St. Francis of Assisi, came into existence in Italy in the 13th century.
